Do I need a DHA license to open a clinic in Dubai?
Yes. Any healthcare facility operating in Dubai emirate — including Dubai Healthcare City free zone facilities under a separate DHCC pathway — must hold a valid Dubai Health Authority facility license before treating patients.
هل أحتاج ترخيص هيئة الصحة بدبي لافتتاح عيادة في دبي؟

How is DHA different from DOH or MOHAP?
DHA licenses facilities and professionals within Dubai emirate specifically, through the Sheryan portal. DOH covers Abu Dhabi and MOHAP covers the five Northern Emirates — each has its own portal, fee structure, and inspection process.

Can I get a DHA professional license while also setting up a facility?
Yes. Professional licensing (Dataflow verification, Prometric exam, DHA license issuance) and facility licensing run as parallel tracks. Many investors are also the Medical Director of the facility they are opening, so we typically coordinate both processes together.
